Nikon D700 Vs Canon EOS 7D - Which Digital SLR Camera Is Best?

If you're thinking of buying either the Canon EOS 7D or Nikon D700 digital SLR camera, then you need to read this. In this article we will run through the major features of these two great cameras and see which is best. We will then finish with a conclusion where we take a balanced view of all points considered.

How Many Megapixels?

The Nikon D700 has 12.1 megapixels, which means you can print an up to A2, or A3 if you do a significant amount of cropping. The Canon EOS 7D has 18 megapixels, which is a lot more. This is a big difference, especially considering that the D700 is nearly $1,000 more expensive than the 7D. However, megapixels certainly aren't the be-all and end-all of digital SLRs, and the D700 does have the benefit of having an FX-format sensor, which means it is great for photographers who are used to using old 35mm film cameras.

How Fast Can You Shoot?

Both the Canon EOS 7D and the Nikon D700 are able to shoot 8 frames per second for up to 125 (7D) or 100 (D700) JPEG images at a time. However, in addition to this, the D700 boasts an astonishing 0.12 seconds start-up time, and a shutter-lag response time of 0.40 seconds, whereas the 7D doesn't appear to specify how fast it is with start-up and shutter-lag.

What About Low-Light Shooting?

Probably the main factor when it comes to how well a digital SLR copes with low-light scenes is its ISO range. The ISO determines the sensitivity of the image sensor, and the higher it can go the more light it will get from the scene. Both the EOS 7D and the D700 are set to go up to an ISO of 6,400. However, both cameras are able to have their ISO ranges expanded, the 7D up to 12,800, but the D700 can go all the way up to 25,600! This means that the D700 is without a doubt the hands-down winner when it comes to low-light shooting.

Remote Control

One great feature that the Nikon D700 has which doesn't appear to be on the Canon EOS 7D, is the ability to control the camera from a computer. This is great if you are shooting wild animals and don't want to disturb them. Set up your camera, then hide some distance away with your laptop and wait for the perfect moment.

Live Viewfinder

Another great feature that the Nikon D700 has which seems to be absent on the EOS 7D is the ability to compose photos using a 3-inch Live View screen. Not only that, but the screen has a 170-degree viewing angle. This is very handy if you find yourself having to shoot from an awkward place with the camera pointing at an extreme angle.

Conclusion

Okay, so let's sum up the major features we have talked about, and see which digital SLR wins for each one:

    * Megapixels: EOS 7D
    * Speed: D700
    * Low-Light Shooting: D700
    * Remote Control: D700
    * Live View Screen: D700
    * Price: EOS 7D (almost $1,000 cheaper)

So, if megapixels and price are your main factors, then the Canon EOS 7D is the better choice. However, if you can cope with only using 12.1 megapixels (which, by the way, is still plenty for the majority of photographers), and don't mind paying the higher price, the Nikon D700 will give you a very fast start-up time, superb low-light shooting ability, remote control functions, and the ability to compose using the 3-inch screen.

Windows 7 Versus Snow Leopard - What to Choose For Your Business

If you are a computer user, you probably have strong feelings in the Apple vs. Microsoft debate, but if you are a business owner, personal likes or dislikes don't mean as much as the bottom line. So what exactly do Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 have to offer business owners?

Because of the issues Microsoft users encountered with Windows Vista, many people have been reluctant to consider Windows 7. Many are concerned that Windows 7 is just a patched up version of Vista. Microsoft insists that this is not so, but instead they took what was good about Vista and made it better. Windows 7 has been receiving many good reviews and is considered a strong competitor of Mac's OS X and Linux.

What Are Some Of The New Features Of Microsoft 7?

Windows 7 has touchscreen capability even for programs that were not originally designed to be touchscreen. All you need is a touch screen monitor. Homegroup allows you to easily share files, photos, music, etc. with other computers in your network. Windows 7 offers faster startup and faster performance. Windows 7's new Taskbar is touted by some as even better than the Snow Leopard Dock. The Taskbar allows you to "pin" your favorite programs to it and preview open windows.

Snap lets you easily move, minimize, maximize, and resize windows so that you can view more than one window at one time. Windows search is as easy as searching on the internet Windows 7 is faster and doesn't require as much memory and processor usage.

The Ultimate Edition offers Bitlocker data encryption that prevents hackers and thieves from accessing your important files.

Jump Lists lets you easily access the programs and files you use most often.

You can still run many Windows XP programs in the XP mode.

The Professional Edition costs about $200 for the upgrade and $300 for the full version. The Ultimate Edition costs about $220 for the upgrade and about $320 for the full version.

Equipment to run Windows 7 can start at around $300.

The Downside Of Windows 7

Some reviews have reported spotty performance with Windows 7, but probably the biggest downside is that this operating system needs to be time tested to evaluate its performance and reliability over the long haul.

How does Mac OS X Snow Leopard Compare?

Apple's Macintosh operating system already enjoys a reputation as easy to use and reliable, and offers users fast performance and stability. The standard software such as Safari, iPhoto, iChat, and Garageband is well liked by Mac users. Windows 7's new taskbar is very similar to Mac's standard Dock. While Snow Leopard is perhaps more like an upgrade than a new operating system, Apple has added some new features to Mac OS X Snow Leopard:

Snow Leopard offers faster performance and speed, and the new OS uses less disk space.

Upgraded Expose makes it easier to view all of your open windows while in the Dock.

Zoom Slider lets you take a closer look at the application before opening it.

Stacks now has a scroll bar so that you can see all of your applications.

Exchange support allows you to connect with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

The Downside Of Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Lack of business applications

A bug in Snow Leopard caused some users to lose data. The problem has since been rectified, but it is still a cause for concern, especially for business owners.

While snow leopard only costs $29, you must already be a Leopard user and own a Mac computer, which generally start at about $600.

The bottom line in this debate is that Windows is still the most commonly used operating system in the business world and the most business friendly. While Mac continues to maintain a solid reputation and is frequently used for publishing and graphic design, Windows has more to offer business owners. Windows run personal computers are also more economically priced, and Windows 7 Ultimate Edition is specifically designed to keep business files safe and secure. Even though Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate Editions are more expensive than Mac's Snow Leopard, it still offers businesses a wider choice of business applications and available programs.

The iPod Touch 4G Review

Just like all of the iPod touch devices, this new one will retain the smooth, rounded shape of the former designs, therefore forgoing the sort of flat surface of the new iPhone 4G. But other than that, this new one is improved and filled with features that set it apart from all other media devices built to date. Built even thinning than previous models but sporting longer and more efficient battery life, as well as more space capability, this new iPod takes on where the others have left off and brings you a wild assortment of fun features making it likely to be one of the biggest sellers this holiday season.

Using the same operating system and processor that the iPhone 4 uses, including a three axis gyroscope which can enhance and enliven your gaming experience. This combined with the Apple 4 processor as well as the amazing retina display offering high definition images and clarity will make it even better for you to play your favorite games on the device, making it more interactive and exciting than ever before. The lovers of the iTouch have already learned how to download apps from the app store that let them plug in dozens of addictive and thrilling games and now with the new device they will be able to enjoy these games with even more sharpness and stunning visual quality.

Something that this device has that the others do not is the much talked about camera. This camera will alter the entire function and experience of the iTouch, making it far more advanced than it ever was when it first began. The front facing and back facing camera allows you to take high definition videos or photos and immediately load them onto any other device. Or share them right from the iTouch itself as you can briskly email them or post them to social networks and share your videos and photos immediately after you capture them.

In addition, the iTouch has FaceTime, something that is slowly becoming more popular, as it was present in the iPhone 4. However, since it can only function if both parties have it, it has been rumored that Apple will begin creating more products with this kind of feature so that it will become a more broad based concept. That means, having the new iTouch that already offers it can preset you for having the new wave of communication that is bound to hit as this becomes a widespread and common phenomenon. You will be able to talk to people with your iTouch with the FaceTime app and you will be able to perform video calls to others through the Wi-Fi connection.

Otherwise, the iTouch 4G offers you everything that the others do. A great user friendly interface that has clear and colorful icons that allow you to access the Internet page, the music, and photos, and videos that are stored on your device, as well as allows you to check stocks and the weather and access a map. You can do this with ease and efficiency and also you can visit the app store and add games, social network apps that allow you to make Facebook posts and Tweets with ease and from anywhere where Internet is accessible. Also you will be able to enjoy clear and sharp videos and movies from a screen that can be flipped either sideways or vertically so you can choose which way gives you best visual appeal.

Dell Streak 7 Is a More Portable Alternative to the iPad

Even though Dell has been making laptops and computers for quite a long time now, they decided to enter the relatively unknown mobile phone market with their window smart phone, the Dell venue pro. However, it only met with lukewarm interest amongst people and instead of dwelling on the failure of the phone, Dell has decided to enter into the tablet PC segment, which is the hot favourite of tech lovers of late. This is the segment that has grown incredibly well in the last few months due to the launch of the Apple iPad. However, there are plenty of disadvantages with the Apple iPad that people have come to recognise only after months of its launch. The Dell Streak 7 is the answer to the need for an alternative from the Apple iPad.

It is the latest tablet PC from Dell and it will be having almost every single feature that is found in the Apple iPad in a better manner. They include the likes of the 7 inch touch screen display that has capacitive technology within it for recognising various multi-touch actions. You may think that the Apple iPad has a 9.7 inch touch screen display and the 7 inch display of the Dell Streak 7 is obviously very small. In fact, this has given this screen deliberately in order to attract customers who have been frustrated with the lack of portability from the Apple iPad due to its large touch screen display. Even though it is slightly smaller than the Apple iPad's display, it is better in terms of portability and it is for this reason that any people buy the tablet PC.

The Dell Streak 7 will be having the Android 2.2 operating system at its core and it will be running on a dual core 1 GHz processor that is almost double the speed of the processor found in the Apple iPad. One of the main reasons why people have so far to the Apple iPad is due to the stable operating system that has so far received no competition from other manufacturers. However, with the advent of the Android operating system, which is also touch optimised, the Apple operating system seems to have found a real competitor. The Android operating system is so good that one should definitely take a look at this operating system before going out and buying the Apple operating system products for a huge amount of money.

The Dell Streak 7 comes with 16 GB of internal memory and this is more than sufficient to take care of the tablet PC's enormous entertainment capabilities. The connectivity features of the tablet PC include the likes of the Wi-Fi and 3G options. There are also built-in GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB features in the Dell Streak 7. The Dell Streak 7 is currently on sale in the United States and you can choose between two year contracts or without contract options. The Dell Streak 7 is expected to be launched in the United Kingdom very soon.

Sony Alpha DSLR-A500 Body Only Digital Camera

One of Sony's numerous models in the overcrowded 600$ to 1000$ segment is the Sony Alpha DSLR A500. It was released simultaneously with the A550 its "big brother." The A500 is a poor man's A550 and it struggles to keep up with its competitors like the Pentax K-x, the Nikon D5000 and the Canon Rebel T2i.

The Sony Alpha A500 comes with a 12.3 megapixel sensor. It has a new BIONZ sensor for enhanced detail and low noise. It has high sensitivity up to ISO 12800. Normally the pictures shot with ISO 1800 are quite good but above that level the noise becomes a distinct presence. The inbuilt noise reduction is an utter let-down. It has absolutely no effect on the picture. The pictures shot at ISO 12800 are usable only if you reduce the size by at least 50%. But if the photos are reduced in size then they are perfectly good to view.

The Alpha A500 has some good qualities none the less. It has a class topping burst photo shoot at 4.8 frames per second. In this aspect it outclasses all it peers in this category. The battery life of the Alpha A500 is also astounding for its price- it can produce 1000 shots without any need to recharge its battery.

However the metering is lower than its competitors at 40 segment metering. This reduces the overall quality of the picture but considering its low price it is to be expected. It is by no means bad but if you take into consideration its peers you feel it is less. Another damning aspect is the fact that it has no video recording at all. It is hard to find a digital camera that has no video recording these days so this comes as quite a surprise.

It has a 3" LCD screen with 230,400 dots. It can also be tilted and this improves usability of the camera and in fact it is one of its major plus points. But the resolution is three times less than that of the Alpha A550 and it comes as a sucker punch that such features cost just a couple of hundred dollars less. The other major features which differ from the Alpha A550 are the lesser sensor resolution (The Alpha 550 has a resolution of 14.2 megapixel) and most importantly it lacks a Speed priority shoot mode. But the A500 is still a solid and steady model that can perform decently well considering its price.

One of the drawbacks in this model is the overcrowding of the body by a large number of useless and completely unneeded buttons. This also has some impact on the LCD as the user has to frequently go back to access some buttons which are bound to inconvenience the user.

The Sony Alpha A500 is a solid and unspectacular camera. It is a decent camera when you want a good camera on a shoestring budget.

Sony Alpha NEX - Feel Professional

It's a general trend that technology, in its prototype, doesn't look much presentable. But, with the passage of time, it becomes more compact and sleek. Same is the case with Sony's new duo of α NEX Cameras, a splendid effort where power meets portability, as they state it themselves. Earlier this summer, Sony unveiled its set of two digital cameras - α NEX-3 and α NEX-5, with its one-of-a-kind interchangeable lens capability. The most striking thing about α NEX is its DSLR-like features, while it looks just like some other digital camera. Sony claims it to be the world's smallest & lightest camera of its kind (let's see how long it holds the record!). It can be called as an altered DSLR camera, which is 48% smaller and 49% lighter. Now, it's time to get into some geeky stuff i.e. features, specs and review.

Both NEX-3 and NEX-5 cameras are almost identical, with a little difference in features, specs and obviously price. Both of them provide 14.2 megapixel resolution, shooting of up to 7 fps, ISO sensitivity: 12,800 (great for low-light shooting), 3-inch LCD screen, Sweep & 3D Panorama capability, HD sensor of APS-C size, BIONZ image processor, HDMI output, and auto HDR. The cameras come either with 16mm or 18-55mm lens, which depends on your choice of purchase (You can get a bundle of both as well!).

As far as the differences are concerned, the main dissimilarity is between the actual size of the cameras. NEX-3 is a little wider, thicker, taller, hence heavier than NEX-5. Other than that, NEX-5 is composed of magnesium alloy from the front, whereas the other one is composed of plastic. The NEX-3 records videos in HD at 720/30p, while NEX-5 shoots 1080i AVCHD videos. The audio format supported by NEX-3 is MPEG-4 AAC-LC, however NEX-5 gives Dolby Digital (AC-3) along with MPEG-4. No matter which lens you like, the difference in price remains $100. NEX-3 is available for $549 with 16mm lens, & $599 with 18-55mm lens. Likewise, you can get NEX-5 for $649 or $699, depending upon the lens of your choice.

Although these cameras lack a built-in flash (maybe to keep it small), but the box includes an attachable Flash, which Sony call detachable. In any case, these cameras certainly take us to a newer level of photography, where you really don't have to be a professional. But the outstanding results will definitely make you feel like a one. Next time I get my pay, I'm surely going to buy it!

Dry Skin Acne Treatment With Medical Procedures

Headaches are common pains that anyone can suffer. They can be caused by many factors such as stress, working for extended hours in front of the computer to injury and migraines which may be triggered by allergies such as food. Whatever the cause may be, the fact remains that having a headache is very uncomfortable and may keep you from performing to your full potentials. One need not suffer so much because of it, especially if the problem is constant and may keep you from being productive. Headaches may come in different forms usually depending on the cause. So most definitely, before you could opt for any ways to get rid of your headache, you must know first what is causing it. The following are simple ways to get rid of headaches:
There are a number of medical procedures available to treat all types of acne, including dry skin acne. The effectiveness of these treatments depends on the type and severity of the acne and well the patient's is cared for, during and after treatment. Medical procedures for acne treatment can be very costly and should only be used in extreme cases, where the usual diet and skin care routines are not helping to contain the problem.

Dermabrasion is a medical procedure that involves 'sanding' of the skin. Typically, it is used for the removal of scarring and areas of discolored skin. The procedure is painful and requires the patient to be under general anesthetic in most cases. A more modern method of dermabrasion, is 'micro-dermabrasion'. This technique involves just sanding off the outer layer of skin and is a lot less invasive than regular dermabrasion. Laser dermabrasion and carbon dioxide dermabrasion can also be done. The theory behind the treatment, is that the skin produces cells that become impemeable, as pat of the skin's natural strengthening and protective measures. These impermeable cells cause excess oils to build up and become trapped in follicles, thereby allowing acne to form. Micro-dermabrasion removes the majority of these hard skin cells, allowing the skin to breathe better and get rid of oils easier.

Patients suffering from cystic acne can have the boils surgically lanced and drained. This is done under sterile, clean conditions, to avoid the injured skin from getting reinfected with bacteria, or developing more complications.

Dry skin acne can also be treated using Phototherapy. This involves exposing the affected skin to different kinds of light. The light ranges from infra-red to ultra-violet and more recently, visible light spectrums. LED's and lasers are also used in phototherapy. It is most effective for short-term treatments, usually involving twice-weekly treatment sessions. Daily treatment is even more effective, but not necessarily within every patient's budget. One of the ways that phototherapy works, is when the skin is bombarded with light that has a short wave-length. This light causes free-radicals to develop within the P. acnes bacteria, which destroys the bacteria completely. Phototherapy can include a mixture of different light types for optimum effectiveness. This is termed photodynamic therapy and it is a relatively new treatment. Its effectiveness over the long term still needs to be thoroughly tested; it is therefore a slightly controversial technique, since dermatologists and scientists do not agree on its suitability and effectiveness yet.

Laser treatment has a multi-faceted approach when treating acne vulgaris and dry skin acne. The lasers do the following when concentrated on affected skin: the follicle sac from which hair grows is burnt away; the oil-producing sebaceous gland is burnt away; the laser light produces oxygen inside the bacteria, which kills it. Laser technology uses pulsed light and some experts are worried about the long-term effects of repeated exposure to concentrated laser light. The formation of skin spots may occur, as well as drying out of the skin. The Candela Corporation has received FDA approval to use and produce cosmetic laser treatment devices. The overall effectiveness of these cosmetic lasers has to be tested properly, since initial reports, generated from 100 test subjects, show contradictory results from laser therapy.

10 Ways To Get Rid Of A Headache

1. Maintain good posture and do some stretching. Poor posture while working can cause what are known as tension headaches. Staying in such a position for a very long time may cause the muscles of the neck and shoulders to tighten up. One way to get rid of this headache is to maintain a good posture while working. Every now and then or if you feel tension pains setting in, do some stretching to get rid of the headache before it gets worse.

2. Application of moist heat through a hot compress is also a good way to get rid of headaches. Get a towel and soak it in warm water and apply it on areas where you find pain and tension to rid your body of the discomfort.

3. In women, a common problem is headache that comes days before their period. This is usually felt as a pain directly behind the eyes. To get rid of this headache, women must eat foods that are rich in zinc, especially those that come from lean proteins such as lean meats.

4. Relax. The most common cause of headache is stress. Develop a healthy lifestyle which allows you to get enough sleep and rest. If you feel a huge headache coming in because of stress, get rid of this headache by taking a break from work and catching on some sleep.

5. Get a massage. Tension headaches, especially ones that come with pain that radiates through the neck and shoulders are extremely uncomfortable. A way to get of this headache is by getting some massage, especially on the scalp, neck and shoulder areas to release all the tension that have build up there.

6. Eat regularly. Do not skip meals because hunger and meal- skipping can also cause headaches. If you feel a headache about to start and you haven't had anything to eat, take a break and grab a bite to prevent that headache from progressing further.

7. Drink lots of water. As much as possible, stick to the eight-glasses a day recommended amount of daily water intake. Water cools down the body and so when you feel a major headache, drink up to get rid of it.

8. Ice. Ice is known to be effective in relieving different types of pains, headaches included. So another option to get rid of your headache if to use ice. Lie down and have an ice pack placed on the areas where you feel pain and tension such as behind your neck, temples or forehead.

9. Kill the pain with pain killers. There are many over-the counter analgesics that are known to work for many forms of headaches. However, it is still best to consult a doctor first before choosing a pain reliever to get rid of your headache most especially if the problem persists for a very long time. It is best to work out with your doctor first what is truly causing the pain.

10. Watch what you eat. Some headaches are triggered by food. This is most especially true for migraine sufferers. So if you feel that your headache was prompted by something that you ate, stop eating that food and consult your doctor to determine whether this is truly the source of your headache.

Having a headache is an uncomfortable experience. It keeps you from performing your task and is counter-productive. Headaches have many causes and so to successfully get rid of that headache, it is best to try to figure out first what is causing it in the first place. Lifestyle still plays a major role in determining whether you headache problem is just temporary or will pester you for a very long time.

New Sandy Bridge Laptops

Laptop and computer technology changes at such a blistering pace, there is something new almost daily. Just when computer users were getting their heads around the confusing i3, i5 and i7 processors - Intel comes out with its new 2nd generation Core processors which have been codenamed Sandy Bridge. These processors offer much greater performance with hyper threading, multi cores, overclocking and much more robust integrated graphics. Computers and laptops with these new Sandy Bridge processors are currently hitting the marketplace.

There are, as of January 2011, around 29 variants or versions of these processors. So you have 14 desktop and 15 mobile models to choose from when buying that new PC or laptop. For the mobile market at the low end you have the i5-2537M which can have 2/4 cores at 1.4GHz and with turbo boost to 2.3GHz. At the high end we have i7-2920XM with 4 to 8 cores at 2.5GHz and turbo boost to 3.5GHz. For the desktop market we have a little more higher specs, for example the Intel Core i7 2600K at 3.4GHz with turbo boost to 3.8GHz.

What's so special about Sandy Bridge?

As with the 1st Generation Core Processors, the emphasis is again on Hyper Threading for all your multi-tasking and on Turbo Boost to give you peak performance when you need it. You can have 4-way or even 8-way processing with Hyper Threading to do several tasks at the same time. You also have a larger cache size which will give you better responsiveness when multi-tasking on your computer or laptop.

Graphics seems to have taken a big improvement (well within reason) with these new chipsets, Intel has introduced its own built-in HD Graphics 3000 which should be good enough for causal gaming, but for high-demanding games you will probably still need discrete graphics especially for gaming at the highest resolutions or settings. However, this is still a step forward for Intel regarding graphics, especially when it comes to HD and 3D images. Plus, Quick Synch Video is a feature which will make video editing and sharing a breeze.

Keep in mind, what makes these new Sandy Bridge processors very popular is overclocking, especially with the high end ones. Gamers who demand the highest specs will no doubt be very pleased since the higher end processors will come unlocked. For those who want the best performance possible, an upgrade to Sandy Bridge will be a no-brainer. However, for the causal PC or laptop user, their current CPUs will probably do. Besides how much processing power do you need to send an email, check your Facebook page or watch the latest viral YouTube video?

In other words, if you're not into computer gaming or need a high performance computer for video editing or processing, you really don't need to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading. If your current PC or laptop can do all the chores you want it to do without freezing up or slowing down, then you obviously don't need a new one. Save your money and spend it on something else.

Again, it all comes back to performance and how much you have to pay for that performance. Many reviewers are seeing this better performance, including one very well known tech expert, who tested these Sandy Bridge processors and stated that for the same money one would have spent last year you can get 10-50% more performance from your applications and games.

For this reason alone, many computer users will be taking a second look at Sandy Bridge to see if they do indeed need this increase in performance. Many consumers wait until new platforms and/or operating systems are introduced before they upgrade... if you're still using Windows 98 on a Pentium 2 computer, it's probably time for an upgrade.

Dell Alienware M17x - Ultimate Laptop For Ultimate Gaming

Two thumbs up to Dell for the Alienware M17x that makes gaming not a problem any longer no matter how resource-consuming a game is. Whether the game is a rather conventional 2D game or it is a game with highly detailed futuristic graphics, this one-of-a-kind laptop will run into no problem at all in processing such a game. The brand of Alienware may have always been an outstanding one. Yet, with this top-notch laptop, it seems like Dell is about to even further increase its outstanding quality. Hearing all that, at this point of time people may be asking what is really in this laptop to offer PC gamers, especially the hardcore ones, and other PC users who demand high performance.

Well, as always, the Alienware product lineups are always customizable and so is the so-called Dell Alienware M17x. To start it off, it comes offered with quite a few Intel processor options. For those users who think that their needs may not be too high, there are the Intel® Core™ i5 processors running at 2.4 and 2.53GHz to support them. Yet, for those who have higher demands, there is an Intel® Core™ i7 processor running at 2.66GHz. Better yet, there are the Quad Core versions of the Core™ i7 processors running at 1.6GHz and 1.73GHz. What is even more surprising is that Dell has also prepared this laptop with a capability of supporting those PC gamers or users who have extreme demand when it comes to speed, performance and reliability. These extreme users may feel more than glad to find out that they can customize their Dell Alienware M17x with an Intel® Core™ i7 extreme processor! This extreme processor runs at 2.0GHz and it will even boost up to 3.2GHz when used in Turbo Mode.

However, processors may find it hard at times if they are told to process heavily loaded applications or games without the help of some powerful graphics card. Fortunately, thanks to the ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 5870 installed into this laptop, the processors are not quite likely to run into a hard time and thus will not disappoint the users. For the graphics card, users can choose between the single graphics card and the CrossfireX™ ATI Radeon featuring 1GB video memory.

Now, can serious PC gamers and users count on extreme processors and even the CrossfireX™ graphics card alone? Not really. This is perhaps why Dell offers up to a maximum of 8GB dual channel DDR3 running at 1066MHz. With this memory capacity, multitasking seems to be a piece of cake for this Alienware M17x.

Unfortunately, high capability processor, excellent graphics card and powerful memory capacity without a huge storage are not enough especially for ultimate gaming. But thanks to Dell, users can choose among a SATA-II HDD with a storage capacity up to 640GB, an SSD (Solid State Drive) with up to 256GB, Raid 0 HDD with up to 1.2TB and Raid 1 HDD with up to 640GB. All these storage options are surely huge enough to hold everything - be it games or graphics design software or any other kind of software PC users can possibly find - the users want.

Yet, there is one question that may well come across the users' mind. How are they going to install applications or games into the laptop? Well, they will not have to worry since Dell has thought of that. Dell offers the Alienware M17x users with the options of a dual layer DVD burner, dual layer Blu-ray reader and even a dual layer Blu-ray burner. With all these options, either the PC users or the hardcore PC gamers are not quite likely to find any difficulty in accessing all kinds of optical storage media they may probably find.

Those stuffs above are meant to provide users with unrivaled performance. Now, for the sake of users' vision, Dell Alienware M17x is equipped with a WideXGA+ display measuring 17 inches diagonally and it offers a resolution of 1440x900 pixels. Or, for even a better vision, users may choose the WideUXGA 17-inch RGB LED display with a resolution of up to 1920x1200 pixels.

Now, what about the operating system that the users are going to use? Well, the options consist of the genuine Windows® 7 64bit in all editions available. With that being said, those users who are up for everything Windows® 7 may probably offer, they can choose the Ultimate edition of the operating system from Microsoft. Yet, for the others, they may well choose either the Home Premium or the Professional edition.

Another customization option that is usually available when it comes to Alienware laptops is the color of the laptop itself. Well, in this case, users will be able to choose among lunar silver, space black and nebula red - which is a bit costly because it is a special edition, all with anodized aluminum case. But color is not the end of the customization Dell offers.

There is yet another customization item which is the personalized nameplate. So, as always, those who buy this laptop will be able to have their name engraved on this nameplate which makes Dell Alienware M17x unique to each of its owner. And, for even more customization, the owners of this remarkable laptop can choose what AlienFX color they would like to have. There is the Quasar Blue, Astral Aqua, Mars Red, Terra Green and Plasma Purple. Yet, for customizing operating system so that it reflects each user's personality, there is the AlienGUIse theme manager featuring Breed Theme. Also, the users can choose from several avatars and wallpapers to make their Dell Alienware M17x rather personal.

Last but not least, Dell offers a pre-installed World of Warcraft game as well. It seems that this has been a habit when it comes to the Alienware product lineups. The users can always expect some pre-installed games to come along with the laptop. But this is good in fact since it may save users the time required to install the accompanying game.

With all those features Dell Alienware M17x is able to offer, it is highly recommended that PC users - especially the extreme ones - and hardcore PC gamers alike consider buying this wonderful laptop ever exists.

Alienware M15x Review - A Guide to One of Most Powerful Notebooks on the Market!

The new Alienware M15x is a powerful new notebook from Dell that features NVIDIA GTX graphics and an Intel Core i7 processor. This system has a great design, and you can choose between black, red and silver. It's a well-built computer with a strong internal frame and lid. It's built to be sturdy and solid, even more so than the average notebook. Its design is really neat and unique, as is expected for an Alienware system.

The Dell Alienware M15x comes with the following, most of which can be configured or upgraded:

· 15.6" 1080p display w/ LED backlighting

· Intel Core i7 processor (920XM / 2.0GHz-3.2GHz Turbo Mode)

· 500 GB hard drive 7200 RPM

· 4GB DDR3 133 memory

· WiFi Link

· Blu-ray reader/drive

· 9-cell Lithium ion battery

· Genuine Windows 7 Ultimate Ed.

· 3 color choices: Lunar Shadow, Cosmic Black, and Red Nebula

The screen, keyboard, and touchpad are all pretty impressive. The LED-backlit display is available in your choice of 1920x1080 and 1600x900. The display looks amazing - it is highly vivid and offers clear contrast and brightness. The surface is covered with edge-to-edge glass, which creates a seamless look. The display is one of the most impressive and near-perfect you will ever see on a notebook computer.

This Alienware M15x review also needs to mention the keyboard. Despite being full-sized, it unfortunately lacks a number pad. However, the keyboard is very quiet and the keys have are designed for good traction. They have a bit of a rubbery-feel to make typing easy and comfortable. The touchpad has heavy texture on its matte surface, which makes navigation somewhat hard to get used to.

Despite a lack of number pad and somewhat rough touchpad, this is still a wonderfully-designed and built notebook. And, with the powerful processor and graphics solution, it can handle any game or program you want to run! It also uses Turbo Boost technology to help the processor run at a faster rate. The battery is excellent, and lasts for several hours if you do light tasks. It can last for around two hours if you do heavy gaming.

Obviously, this notebook doesn't come cheap, so you need to look for some Dell Alienware M15x coupons. Some online computer stores are giving good discounts on this system, so take advantage of them while they're still available. You can knock a lot of money off of your order if you use Dell coupons. This will make upgrades more affordable! Owning a powerful, expensive gaming laptop isn't impossible if you use the right coupons.

Xbox 360 Kinect Review

We decided to do a latest video game review of the Xbox 360 Kinect and the new games available. Nintendo's Wii Motion Plus has made the Wii a vary fun and popular game console so its no surprise that Microsoft has decided to release the Xbox Kinect.

The difference between the systems is that Microsoft's Kinect is the only one that actively integrates both voice, a camera and full-body sensing into games and the core Xbox experience. The games for the Kinect for the most part are dance and exercise games, which are not appealing to me, but the potential for military shooters and sport games is there so we will wait to see as the game developers start to release games for the Kinect. The concept is a fun gaming experince when played, the only draw back it that its expensive and if you want others to play you have to buy more remotes and games, adding to the total cost. Besides the expense, the Kinect is very responsive and one could see the potential as new games start to come out, Microsoft did a great job setting it apart from the Wii console, by adding more features like the fact it can sense hands, feet, head movement and moving backwards, forwards, and side-to-side, one could only imagine playing a Call of duty on a Xbox 360 Kinect. The most popular titles are Dance Central, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals and Kinect Adventures, hopefully with more interesting titles to come at latest video game were not fans of dancing games.

Nintendo 3DS - 3D Gaming Without The Glasses

The Nintendo 3DS is a portable gaming system, just like the Nintendo DS. It is light and very handy, so that you users can bring this console wherever you want to play those of your favourite Nintendo games.

Its wide, 3.53-inch top screen LCD display shows the 3D view of your game without the need for special glasses. This 3D feature creates the illusion that the graphics and characters pop out from the screen, giving you a more immersive gaming experience minus the silly-looking glasses. The bottom screen is a 3.02-inch stylus-based touch screen. It comes with a stylus to give you easier control over the options you want to choose from the touch screen. This telescoping feature of the stylus allows you to manipulate the length you prefer, and measures to approximately 4 inches when fully extended. It has three cameras - one inner and two outer - to help deliver the 3D effect and take 3D pictures as well.

Located on the right side of the 3DS is the 3D depth slider. This control allows you to change the level of 3D effect displayed on the top screen. You can adjust the amount of 3D you want based on preference and particular viewing distance. With Nintendo 3DS built-in motion sensors and gyro sensors, the game created are more motion intensive providing you with a greater gaming experience.

This gaming console also has built-in WiFi, allowing multiple Nintendo 3DS systems to connect through local wireless connection and let other users communicate and enjoy competitive play. Gaining access to the internet gives you the chance to play games with or against other players, instead of just playing against the computer-generated characters. The 3DS hardware is also designed to automatically exchange data via internet even when in sleep mode. This means that the upgrading or level-up of your game characters goes on even without you playing. The wireless switch allows you to choose whether to turn off or turn on the wireless communication.

The game controls such as the touch screen, embedded microphone, face buttons, control pad, left-and-right buttons, and start and select buttons, provides you with more coordination and regulation of the gaming experience. You are given more choices as the buttons represent different and specific commands for your games.

Other essential features include the port, which is compatible for both the Nintendo 3DS game cards and Nintendo DS game cards. Also, the SD memory card slot that comes with it gives expandable memory to your Nintendo 3DS. It has an AC adapter connector and a charging cradle terminal. Its stereo headphone output jack provides a connection for your headsets, or you can choose to have the stereo speakers found at the left and right sides of the top screen.

Apple iPad Review

Build

The iPad truly is a beautiful devious. On look at it and you will feel that we have jumped forward twenty years into the future. The iPad's exteriors is a combination of aluminum and reinforced plastic. Like most Apple mobile devices, the iPad only has one button: the home bottom found on the bottom of the iPad when help in portrait. There is the usually audio jack for those who want to plug in headphones, and also a mic. The iPad speakers do their jobs, but they are not going to blow you away with their quality.

The iPad has the standard Apple external connector which is the only way you can hook up the iPad to other devious due to the lack of a flash drive. However, there are many devious that can connect to the iPad and more are being custom built for the iPad and should be coming out soon.

The iPad weighs 1.5 pounds. It is significantly lighter than a laptop, but much heavier than your average smart phone or mobile devious. You will begin to feel the exertion in your wrist after hold the iPad for about half an hour.

Display

The iPad display is truly something to see. It packs 1024x768 pixels in its screen which seems like a low number, but images are crisp nevertheless. The color and contrast on the iPad is really amazing. The iPad's one Achilles' heel is that in direct sunlight you will see a ton of reflection on the screen, and the screen which is back lit get hard to see. This is most notice able when videos with dark scenes.

Eye strain

The has been a lot of discussion about whether or not the iPad causes eye strain. Based on my own experience and the experiences of others who have tried the iPad, this is really a hit or miss thing. I do not get any eye strain from using the iPad even after spending an hour reading an eBook. However, if you plan on making the iPad your next eBook reader, I would advise you to go test out an iPad at the Apple store first.

Media Consumption

Media consumption was supposed to be the one thing that the iPad excelled at, and it does.

iBooks: iBooks is Apple's eReader that can be downloaded free on the iPad. It comes with a free sample of Winnie the Pooh. iBooks gives the readers a lot of options such as changing the text size or the brightness of the screen. iBooks does not have a huge selections of books yet, but it offers books in full color and the touch screen ui makes it fun to read.

Kindle: Amazon has made a dedicated app on for the iPad which always Amazon customers to access their eBooks or buy more from the Amazon store. The Kindle has about 340,000 more eBooks than Apple's own iBooks. You can now watch videos that are embedded in the eBooks.

Comics: I think that comics where made to be viewed on a tablet like device. The beautiful display of the iPad combined with the interactive touch screen makes reading a comic on the iPad almost more enjoyable than holding a physical copy in your hands. Marvel and DC Comics both have dedicated apps for the iPad where you can buy new releases. Japanese manga are slowly making their way to the iPad for those of you who are fans of manga.

Magazines: So far the magazines that have been released on the iPad have enjoyed huge success. Big names such as Time Magazine, GQ, and Wired have all made dictated apps for the iPad where you can download the latest edition. The magazine companies are really excited about the opportunities the iPad brings and are still experimenting with how they should deliver their content to their subscribers. The eMagazines still have a way to go with things such as ui and pricing, but you can expect them to get better with time.

Newspapers: The iPad is an ideal product for reading the latest news in the morning at the breakfast table or on a train on your way to work. USA Today, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and many more have already made their content assessable on the iPad.

Video

The iPad is an excellent device for looking at video's. There are many options of where you can get videos from. Off course you have iTunes which has a huge selection of videos that you can buy and upload to your iPad. With a paid subscription you can also access Netflix on your iPad and stream movies and shows. For you quick videos you can always head over to YouTube and watch movie trails or a funny clip.

Music

The way you access the music is a little different from the iPhone, but it is still simple and easy. Apple has simple merged its iPod functions into iPad. One of the strong points of the iPad is that you can create your playlist directly on the iPad without having to use iTunes.

Keyboard

The iPad keyboard is much bigger than the iPhone or iPod Touch virtual keyboards, and the extra room makes it a breeze to type on. Don't expect to be able to bang out a 10 page paper (although I've heard that it has been done) but for quick typing the iPad will get the job done.

Gaming

The gaming on the iPad is not for extreme gamers, but more so for the casual one. In fact, I've heard of dozens of people who haven't played games in years finding a couple that they really enjoy on the iPad. The iPad offers all of the classic board games such as chess and scrabble and you can even play multiplayer. Then there are games that were designed specifically for the iPad. These games are clever, challenging, addictive, and loads of fun. And did I mention cheap? Most games are free and none get more expensive then about $5.00.

For HD video, a ratio of 16:9 gives the photographs a sharper look. The AF system used inside this model is similar to all the other models offered by Canon. But the new features of 63-Zone ICFL metering systems are the fresh entries.

The race in which this model lies behind compared to other brands is the improved build or handling, lack of builtin GPS. The battery life of this model is poor if you compare it with other brands like Nikon and Sony. But the capability of continuous shooting, view finders, PC synchronizing ports compensate for the loop holes. The Great LCD navigation screen and large lenses are its additional factors.

A lot of effort has been put up by the company for comfortable navigation. The design may look similar to the T1i model. T2i is a light weight and handy model. The system can be easily navigated by non professional people as well. It may not satisfy the requirements of a professional camera because of the difficulty in view finding and large files that capture a lot of space of your drives. Moreover, it may not be an ideal pick for people who need a lot of storage.

There are mixed opinions from the people for this model. Some customers are satisfied with the model because of its lenses and HD video recording. Others find it a little expensive in terms of performance as compared to other models of canon itself.

    * Megapixels: EOS 7D
    * Speed: D700
    * Low-Light Shooting: D700
    * Remote Control: D700
    * Live View Screen: D700
    * Price: EOS 7D (almost $1,000 cheaper)
